Norbert Lee Falkenstein, 65, of Seligman, Mo., died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at a local hospital. He was born May 5, 1942, in Denver, Colo., to Norbert Joseph Falkenstein and Evelyn Marie Weigel Falkenstein.
He was raised and educated in Washburn, Mo. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1961 and worked as a U.S. Naval Seabee. He retired from the Navy in 1979.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Falkenstein, whom he married in March 1963 in Kent, England; and two brothers, Thomas Mark Falkenstein and Thomas Falkenstein.
Survivors include his parents, Norbert Joseph Falkenstein of Seligman and Evelyn Falkenstein of Rogers, Ark.; a son, Brian Falkenstein of Bentonville, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Marshall and James Marshall of Bentonville; a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond Falkenstein and Cheryl Falkenstein of Pea Ridge, Ark.; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane Holland and Ray Holland of Natchez, Miss; and two grandchildren, Shelby Marshall and Tristan Marshall.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville, Ark. Inurnment will be at the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Rogers, Ark.
