Glen Miller, 56, of McAlester, died Friday at Tulsa.

Services are scheduled for Sunday at Bishop Chapel of Memorial with Joseph Burkart officiating, assisted by Don Dollins.

Internment will be Monday at Mount Grove Cemetery in Independence, Mo. under the direction of Bishop Funeral Services, McAlester.

Pallbearer will be Nelson Day, Jack Armstrong, Kenneth Hammonds, David and Alan Stacy, Richard Reed Miller. Honoraries are past and present co-workers of the Social Security Administration.

Born July 20, 1937 in Arden, Ark., he was the son of Richard and Beatrice Grace Trammell Miller.

He moved to McAlester as a young man, graduating from McAlester High School in 1955 and received a Bachelor's Science degree from East Central at Ada in 1961.

On May 22, 1960 in McAlester, he married Sharon Lee Mitchell.

He was pastor of the McAlester Restoration Branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In September 1961, he started work for the Social Security Administration, working there for over 30 years.

He was promoted to the district manager of the McAlester District.

He served on many boards and civic organizations, including the McAlester School Board, the area agency on aging and KEDDO.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Lee, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Glen Jr. and Karen Miller, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Michal Ann and Dennis Key, Kansas City, Mo.; a grandson, Stephen Michael Key, Kansas City, Mo.; his mother, Beatrice Miller, McAlester; a brother, R.L. Miller, Muskogee; a sister, Eloise Stacey, Tulsa; and his mother-in-law, Helen Mitchell, Blue Springs, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Miller on Aug 11, 1993.
