ALBERT J. "GUS" GALIPEAU, 75, of 40 Olney Keach Road, Chepachet, a calendar operator for the former U.S. Rubber Co. for 29 years before retiring, died yesterday at home. He was the husband of the late Alberta (Trudeau) Galipeau. Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Henri and Alice (LaFrenaye) Galipeau, he lived in Cumberland before moving to Chepachet 15 years ago.

He leaves three sons, Albert R. Galipeau of Chepachet, Norman J. Galipeau of Cumberland and Mark C. Galipeau of Daytona, Fla.; two daughters, Pauline Bonner of Chepachet, with whom he lived, and Debra Wheeler of Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Marcel Galipeau in Pennsylvania and Lionel Galipeau of Buffalo, N.Y.; four sisters, Jeannette Barnes in North Carolina, Lee Turner, Yvonne Swinson and Lucille Benjamin, all of Lakeland, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. He was father of the late Michael Galipeau.

The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Joan Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, South Bellingham, Mass.
