Mattie Lou married Oarb Shamblin on Sept. 5, 1936. She and Oarb had 5 children together, Clark Shamblin, Barbara Shamblin Henry, Ward Shamblin, Bonnie Shamblin Sharp Sheldon, and Susan Shamblin Hallmark.
She patiently battled with Parkinson's disease for many years. She and Oarb were married 52 years at the time of her passing.
