September 3, 1945 - November 17, 2015
Al Fiedler Jr., 70 passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He was born on September 3, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Alfred and Winona Fiedler who preceded him in death. He was married to Linda Johnson on January 28, 1966. He was a graduate of William B. Travis High School in Austin, Texas. He attended Blinn Junior College in Brenham, Texas then transferred to Texas A & M University in College Station. He graduated in 1970 and received his Bachelors of Science in Agronomy. He was in the Navy and started his professional career as a general partner at Gibson's Discount Store and retired as an electrician with the IBEW Local 520 Electrical Union.
Al enjoyed swimming, fishing, working at the ranch, watching Texas A&M Aggie
Football, smoking cigars, and listening to country music. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. His biggest joy was spending time with his family.
Al was a great father, husband, and friend. He never was the Cadillac kind but he would give the shirt off his back to help those he held dear. He will be missed and never forgotten. Gig 'em Dad!
Al is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Fiedler; two children, Nicole Fiedler, Yvette Gattis and husband David; two grandchildren, Shelby and Gannon Gattis; sister, Avalon Fiedler Burrows and husband Jimmy; and many family and friends.
