Wilbur E. Carrier, 53, of Clearfield R.D. 1, died yesterday, Dec. 26, at his home.
Mr. Carrier was born Oct. 16,1927, a son of Isaac Jonathan and Edna (Thorp) Carrier. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was employed by Harbison-Walker Refractories No. 1. He was a social member of the Sons of Italy Lodge.
Mr. Carrier is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Smith, of Clearfield; four sons: Eugene of Philipsburg; Charles, Arley and David, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Robbins of Woodland and Mrs. Paula English of Clearfield; a brother, Lee Carrier of Springfield, Mo., and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister.
The funeral will be held from the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home in Clearfield Monday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Duane White officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home tonight from 7-9, tomorrow from 2-4 and 7-9 and until the hour of services Monday.
