Mrs. Edna Jones Rites Set Today
Sweetwater - Mrs. Edna Hightower Jones, 85, of Sweetwater, died Wednesday night at the Holiday Retirement Center in Sweetwater.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Cate-Spencer Funeral Chapel with burial in the Sweetwater Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 25, 1885 in Sweetwater. She was married to Jesse M. Jones in 1912. He died in 1949.
She had been a resident of Sweetwater for most of her life. She was a retired bookkeeper and office manager.
Survivors include three sons, Sam M. Jones of San Diego, Calif., William D. Jones and Jerry M. Jones, both of Houston; and seven grandchildren.
