San Angelo, Nov. 17 - Funeral services were held here Tuesday morning for John H. Hamilton, 74, who died Saturday at his ranch near Lampasas. Hamilton was buried Tuesday afternoon in Sweetwater.

A resident of San Angelo since 1929, Hamilton was a railroad telegrapher for 49 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, John H. Hamilton, Jr. of Galveston; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Gaede of Olney, Ill.; a brother, D. C. Hamilton of Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Wayne Bryan of Shreveport; and four grandchildren.

Services for John Henry Hamilton, Sr., of 2413 Abilene St., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Robert Massie Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Taylor Henley of Immanuel Baptist Church will officiate with burial at 3 p.m. in Sweetwater Cemetery.

A past master of the Masonic Lodge 571 of Sweetwater, Mr. Hamilton died Saturday at his ranch near Lampasas after a heart attack.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fred W. Ater, Max L. Herman, Mike Barron, E. V. Smith, Jean Cornelison, John H. Smith, Arthur Spring, V. L. Chumbley and M. S. Bradden, all of San Angelo.
