Abraham played the bass viol, and sometimes the violin in the choir in the gallery of Old Tennent Churchyard. He was a tailor by trade, and an excellent land surveyor. In the middle of his life he entered the Baptist Church and became a licentiate preacher in that denomination. He died of paralysis and was buried in Maplewood Cemetery.
