Emmilie Daniels Stephens, age 67, of Forest Brook Circle, Asheboro died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

Mrs. Stephens was employed at several restaurants including Hop's Barbecue and Jed's Barbecue. She retired to be a full-time Granny for Little Emma. She was an avid Yahtzee player and was mostly dedicated to making her family happy. Emmilie enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ondes "Steve" Stephens.

She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Stephens Wrenn of Richmond, VA and Kelli Stephens Glass and her husband Chad of Asheboro; sons, Rick H. Cook and Jay Stephens both of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Stephens of Richmond, VA, Keisha Ward of Asheboro, Stephen Wrenn of Richmond, VA, and Emma Glass of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Jaiden Stephens and Jaylen Stephens both of Richmond, VA; brothers, John Daniels of Georgia and Richard Daniels of Asheboro; sisters, Drema Green and Lillie Gooden both of Thomasville and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
