Mrs. A. Boettger, 77, Dies Last Night At Daughter's Home
Mrs. Alvina Boettger, aged 77 years, a pioneer resident of the town of Kossuth, passed away last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hardrath, Route 7, north of the city, after a six months illness.
The deceased was born in West Prussia, Germany, March 12, 1852 and came to this country with her parents at the age eight. She was married to Herman Boettger in 1868. Her maiden name was Alvina Oestreich. Mr. Boettger passed away sixteen years ago. The family always made their home on a farm.
Surviving are two sons, Herman Boettger, Two Rivers and Edwin of this city and three daughters, Mrs. Alvina Ortiz, city, Mrs. George Handrath, Route 7, and Mrs. E.P. Vinding, Selma, Calif. The latter will be unable to come here for the funeral. Two sisters, Mrs. Charles Plinski, Forestville, and Mrs. Charles Fricke of Rapids, together with seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two, from the Hardrath home on route 7, with Rev. Koenninger officiating with burial at the Kossuth cemetery. The remains may be viewed at the Frazier Mortuary, Ninth street, until four o'clock Thursday afternoon.
