ANDREW BLOUCHER
(1872 - 1897)

A young man named Andrew Buehler died at the hotel of William Meyer on the Green Bay road on Monday morning last, concerning whose life there is some mystery. He was well educated, only 25 years of age and well connected, his uncle being John W. Buehler, cashier of the Garden city Bank & Trust Co. of Chicago. Buehler came here about six months ago and stayed at a farmer's hotel until January 1. He then went to Meyer's place having previously engaged Jo. Mishot as his coachman. Mishot died a few months ago quite suddenly at Meyer's hotel. He was also a singular character, small in stature, a hard drinker but well read in the English classics.

Buehler spent money freely and drank heavily. He never spoke of his past and always destroyed the letters he received. He had money to his credit at the Saving Bank of this city and spent it lavishly. On Saturday he made his will, J.C. McCarty being called in for that purpose. He directed that he be buried near Jo. Misho9t in the little cemetery near Neshoto, and that a monument be erected for him District Attorney Shenian telegraphed Buehler's uncle but at this writing has received no answer.
