Mrs. Dorcas M. Cook, prominent and highly esteemed citizen of Frankfort passed away at her home, 806 North Gentry street, Saturday afternoon about 3:15, following an illness of several months duration. Death resulted from a complication of diseases incidental to old age.

Mrs. Cook, at the time of her death, was past 73 years of age. She was born in Clinton County, May 4, 1853, and had been a life-long resident of this county. For many years she had been a member of the First Christian Church and was active in church work until her health failed. Mrs.Cook belonged to the Loyal Women's class and the War Mothers, having numerous intimate friend in both organizations.

Surviving are two sons, Roscoe Cook of Indianapolis, and Brenton Cook of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Martha Lung of Frankfort, Caroline Ayers of Flora, and Evelyn Strawn of New London. Also, two brothers, Warren Tinkle of Greenwood and Alva Tinkle Chicago, Illinois.

The father and mother, Isaac and Mahala Tinkle, preceded her in death.

The body was brought to the Rusie & Weidner Funeral Home to be prepared for burial, and will be returned to the family home, 806 North Gentry street, late Sunday evening.

Friends may call at the home Monday morning. Services will be held in the Christian Church, Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. Moorman officiating.

Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.

War Mothers will assemble at the home of Mrs. Barton, 52 West Walnut street, Monday afternoon at 1:30, and attend the funeral in a body, to pay their last tribute to their beloved member.
