Emma I Adams, 82, died at9:55a.m. Saturday in St Francis Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan 22, 1924 in Ogden, Utah, to Richard and Olive Ingols Stengle , she married William Adams May 22, 1939 in Elk Point, S.D.

He survives along with three sons, James of Bellevue, Wash, Harold of Peoria and Richard of Tulare, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs James(Marilyn)Punk of Crump, Tenn., and Mrs James(Carol)McPhaill of Visalia, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Stengle of LaPunte, Calif., and Raymond Stengle of Sioux Falls, S.D. and two sisters, Mrs Evelyn Bonomo of Princeville and Mrs Edith Albrecht of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

She worked as a cashier at Bergner's Department Store for several years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at her church, the Revs James Lashley and James McPhill officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel and one hour before services Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens

Memorial may be made to her church.
