MRS. CALVERT FOUND DEAD AT HOME

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Sweetwater for Mrs. W.C. Calvert, 65, wife of Nolan County's second farm agent, who was found dead at her home south of Sweetwater Wednesday afternoon. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Mr. Calvert was found dead in the same home in December, 1946, and his death was likewise attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Calvert was found about 4:30 by her son, W.D. Calvert. She was lying down and had a newspaper beside her.

The Calverts moved to Nolan County from Taylor County in 1912, when he was appointed county agricultural agent. He filled the post until 1926, and then devoted his time to farming and stock raising.

Surviving are two sons, W.D. of Sweetwater and John of Maryneal; two brothers, Jack Long of Gladewater, and Gentry Long of Gardenia, Calif.; five sisters, Lurline and Lucille Long of Dallas, Mrs. Euna Rhodes of Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. John Eyster of Houston, and Mrs. John Schmidt of Port Isabel, Texas.

The funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Wm. H. Shropshire, pastor, and burial will be in the Sweetwater Cemetery with Wells Funeral Home in charge.
