Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father Bill and Swannie Breeden of Cosby; sisters, Rita Breeden Williams, Ginny Ruth Whaley; brothers, Billy and Jerry Breeden all of Newport.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Billy Violet of Newport; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jenny Violet of Dacula, Georgia.
She is beloved by her grandchildren, Michael Violet, Chris Violet and Megan Violet of Dacula, Georgia; her sisters, Cordelia Marshall and Barbara Breeden; numerous nieces, nephews and very special lifetime friends, Wayne and Alma Lou Lafollette and Bettye Grooms.
Mary worked for Schroder Chair, Quaker Oats and Con-Agra for many years. Upon retirement she enjoyed serving lunches at Farm Market. Mary was a faithful member at West End Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday Nov. 21, 2015 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Mooty officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, November 20, 2015 and from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Manes Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorials be made in Mary’s name to West End Baptist Church, 116 West End Street, Newport, TN 37821.
