Mrs. Thompson, daughter of the late Norbert and Lea Jones Baker, was born March 25, 1932 in Sulphur, Louisiana. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a homemaker. Mrs. Thompson enjoyed spending time with her family.
On Oct. 25, 1951, she married Charles Allen Thompson in Louisiana. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two children: Charles Allen Thompson, II of Utah and Cherlyn Thompson of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren: Alicia, Krystal, Kayla, Charles, Amanda, Kevin and Samantha; nine great-grandchildren: Kathleen, Annalyse, Stoney, Jade, William, Freya, Kadence, Kairi and Jayden; a sister, Janell; and a brother: Jessy.
Mrs. Thompson was also preceded in death by four sisters, Viola, Leamay, Birtha and Audrey and three brothers, Herbert, Norbert and Jimmy.
A graveside service and burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
