SWEETWATER - Thelma J. Blair, 87, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001 at Rolling Plains Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at McCoy Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Keith Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in Sweetwater Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
She was born June 17, 1914 in Kent County. She married Cecil Blair Oct. 3, 1934, in Snyder. He died April 16, 1986. Mrs. Blair was a homemaker and member of Lamar St. Baptist Church. She worked at Simmons Memorial Hospital for 13 years as an LVN and had lived in Sweetwater since 1953.
Survivors are three daughters, Zelma Hall of Brookshire, Rita Mize of Hermleigh, and Ava Jo Lynn of Waxahachie; and a son, Charles Allen Blair of Alpine, Az.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; her parents, Clate and Josephine (Jackson) Bralley; and siblings, Troy, Velma and Doris.
