Mr. Bristow was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on May 28, 1938 to the late James L. and Ethel Mae (Wallace) Bristow.
He was a specialty tool maker and employed at XYZ Tool & Die in LaOtto. He grew up in Indianapolis and moved to Avilla ten years ago. Jim was a hunting and fishing guide in Florida and Wyoming and also lived in Colorado and Tennessee.
Survivors include: Daughters, Terresa Griffiths of Kendallville and Jennifer (Dodd) Lamantia of Westerville, Ohio. Four grandchildren: Corey Griffiths of Albion; Jesicah Whan of Delaware, Ohio; Jacob Whan of Chicago; and Gavin Bristow of Parma, Oklahoma. Four great grandchildren. Sister, Mary Jo "Jody" White of Georgia. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
He was also preceded in death by son, Kristofer Bristow.
