Native of Lincolnton, GA, he was the son of William Johnson Drinkard and Sallie Almira (Murray) Drinkard; and the husband of Fleca (Arnold) Drinkard.
Mr. Drinkard was a mason employed at Startex, was a Royal Arch Mason, and a member of Spartanburg Lodge 70, AFM. He had served as secretary of Brick Masons and Plasterers International Union 3 of South Carolina since the chapter was organized in 1940.
