FRED ARBOUR VICTIM OF RIFLE BULLET
The body of Frederick D. Arbour, 35, was found Sunday evening beside his truck parked in front of his home, 1009 E. Center street in Dillon. Coroner Raymond Schwartz said that a bullet from a .22 rifle had entered his head causing death.
Mrs. Arbour who found the body told coroner that her husband had cleaned the rifle in the after noon and said he was going to sell it before his sons had an accident with it. She took the children to a movie in the evening and on her return found her husband beside the truck.
Mr. Abour was a veteran of World War II serving four years in the U.S. Navy and seeing much active combat. He was a Fireman 2nd class.
He was born at Wisdom, Jan 11, 1924 the son of MR. and Mrs. Joseph C. Arbour of Dillon, the family coming here when the deceased was a boy. He lived the greater part of his life in Dillon being employed by Vigilante Electric Coop.,Inc., and the local telephone company.
He was married to Bonnie Lorraine McMannis of Dillon on June 30, 1946.
Survivors include his wife and five children, Dale 12, Joe 10, Danny 5, Randy 3, and Cheryle Anne 11 months. He is also survived by his parents and brother and sister in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne J. Arbour, Helena;

The remains are at the Brundage Funeral Home pending arrangements.
