He was educated in the Oakland school system, graduating from Williams High School, Class of 1947. He went on to earn his BA degree in History from the UM in Orono. He also attended courses of study at Colby College in Waterville.
He enlisted in the Air Force and served his country for 23 years. He served in many world locations including two assignments in Greenland and many years in Japan.
He was later employed as an advanced cartographer at a firm in St. Louis until his retirement. In later years he resided in Pacific, Mo.
He is survived by his wife of many years, Yoneko, also of Pacific, Mo. He has a brother, Stephen Clark of Scarborough, and sisters Jeanne Clark of Albuquerque, NM and Lorna M. Clark of Geneva, Switzerland. He has many nieces and nephews.
He is to be buried at the Clark ancestral plot at the Riverside Cemetery in Sidney, Maine. (Central Maine Newspapers 11/16/2015)
