Mr. Corrie H. Blackburn, Jr., 89, died Friday after an extended illness at Hospice Savannah. He was a native of ScrevenCounty having lived in Port Wentworth the past sixty-five years. He was a member of the Bonneybridge Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was formerly employed with the American Oil Refinery retiring in 1977. Survivors include his wife, Dartheal Crosby Blackburn of Port Wentworth, three sons, Charles Blackburn, Sr, of Savannah, GA., Jerry Blackburn, Sr. of Jacksonville, Fla. and Larry Blackburn, Sr. of Springfield, GA.; two granddaughters, two step granddaughters, four grandsons, two great-granddaughters and four great -grandsons. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery with Rev. Tom Pharis officiating. In lieu of flowers, the famly request remembrance to Hospice Savannah, P. O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA. 31416.
