Ellen was married to Peter Collins. She was living in England waiting passage to America to join her husband who was working in the coal mines of Indian Territory, Krebs, Oklahoma. She arrived in America with two of her boys in 1892. Prior to her arrival, her husband was killed, 7 Jan 1892 in a coal mine accident.
Ellen and Peter had four children: Peter Collins, Thomas Bruce Collins & 2 other boys who died young.
In 1899 she married Thomas C. Fisher (1864-1955) and had one daughter Katherine Ellen (1899-1982), born in Krebs, Oklahoma.
Ellen passed on to Katherine all of her Catholic Irish traditions.
