Leon graduated from the International Correspondence Schools of Scranton. In 1922 he was a foreman in Jersey City, NJ. In 1934 he was a telegraph operator in Newark, NJ. In 1940 he was a telegraph operator for railroad. After 40 years he retired from the Deleware, Lakauana and Western Railroad, culminated his career there as the Chief Communication Officer. After retiring from the railroad he went to work for a defense company beginning during WW2 and continuing for 10 years. At the defense company he worked in electronics assembly.
He retired in Montrose, PA. Twice a widower, he moved in with his widowed sister Ethel sometime between 1966 and 1970. This house is between his nephew Ralph Taylor's house and brother Howard's house.
