She (firstly) emigrated to Sydney, New South Wales with her parents and siblings, sailing from Gravesend, Kent on 20 May 1838 in the SS "Eden", and after a 5-month voyage landed in Australia at Port Jackson, New South Wales on 17 October.
After 8 years in Australia, the family sailed for Auckland, NZ in the brig "Daniel Watson", arriving on 6 January 1848 where her father took up farming at Te Hihi, Mangonui, Northland.
She married William Thomas BALL on 15 October 1862 at Mangonui, Northland, New Zealand.
She died at her late residence, 1 Sylvan Avenue, and interred August 17, aged 83 years.
