Monday afternoon Frank Mathieu went to the home of a friend to view the remains of his son, as they had been fast friends. He returned in the evening and about half past eight requested his mother to get him some hot water as he desired to take a foot bath. This was done and but a few seconds after he had placed his feet in the hot water he expired. Since last April the boy has been unable to work owing to heart trouble, which was the cause of his death. The deceased was the sixth child of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O. Mathieu and was born at Waltz county, August 4th, 1880. Funeral services will be held from St. Mary's Church this morning at eight o'clock, Rev. Fr. Joos officiating. (MD, 7-19-1900)
