Dingus, Blanche E. Age 84, of Martin Ky, passed away Thyrsday, March 7, 2002 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, KY. She was born July 4, 1917, in Martin, Ky, the daughter of the late William "Bill" Dingus and Flora Reynolds Dingus. Mrd Dingus was a retired administrator for the Floyd County School System, a physical therapist in the U.S. Army, WWII, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, director of the Genealogical Library of the Church and a member of the Floyd County Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include one brother, Charles Phillip Dingus of Martin; three sisters-in-laws, Kitty Dingus, Rose Dingus, and Hazel Robinson, all of Martin and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Chester Arthur Dingus, Lewis Parker Dingus, Daniel Perkins Dingus, Reynolds Dingus, and Furman Dingus, and two sisters, Rhoda Crawford and Girdell Breeding. Funeral services for Blanch E. Dingus will be conducted Saturday, March 9, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky with the elders of the church officating. Burial will follow in the Dingus Family Cemetery, Martin, KY under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home.
