Donnita is preceded in death by her husband John Henry Cole, her parents Donnell and Ouida Biggers, and her sister, Eva Nell Landers.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Benbow and son-in-law Thomas Benbow of Lake Dallas, TX, daughter Michelle Cole Lambert of Odessa, TX, her son John Edward Cole and daughter in law Kimberly Cole of Jakarta, Indonesia and son Charles Donavan Cole and Julie Weivoda of Wenatchee, WA. Her grandchildren; Amy and Justin, Ryan, Deven and Kandice, Joshua and Michaelene, Daniel, Amanda, Byron and Chandra, Megan and DJ, Holleigh and Nicholas, Krysten, Sarah and Ryan, Samantha, Kiefer, Nick and Brii, Jentry and Levi, and Emily. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was a force of nature, complete chaos, but there was method to her madness and she always ended up smelling like a rose, vibrant and colorful in all ways. She was entertaining in her eccentricities, full of love and laughter. She was stubborn and goal-orientated enough even to take on Saddam Hussein and win. She never knew a stranger and her home was open to all. She made us laugh, exasperated us and we will miss her.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, November 15, 2015. Rosary will follow at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 16, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
