Mrs. Clara Lavada Goolsby, age 94, of Carrollton, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015.
Mrs. Goolsby was born in Carrollton, Georgia, on September 20, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Monroe Noah Goolsby and the late Clara Caldwell Goolsby. Mrs. Goolsby was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Clifford Goolsby; two daughters, Bonnell Dean and Francis Smith; two brothers, Noah David Goolsby and Robert Goolsby; and a great-grandson, Alex Michael Goolsby.
Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn Silas of Douglasville, and Loretta Britt and Dora McEntyre both of Carrollton; three sons, Marvin Goolsby and Jarvis Goolsby both of Carrollton and Ronald Goolsby of Douglasville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 16, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Bailey officiating.
Interment will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Bobby Trotti, Christ Trotti, Howard Trotti, Travis Goolsby, Ronald Goolsby, and Ethan Pope.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
