J. Ackerman Passes At 76
Jacob Ackerman, 76, retired Lodi district farmer, passed away suddenly last night at a Stockton hospital. He was a native of South Russia. Mr. Ackerman came to the United States when he was nine years old. He had made his home in Lodi since 1926, residing at 409 East Oak Street.
He was the husband of Pauling Ackerman, and the father of Hugo Ackerman and Mrs. Leona Reimche, both of Lodi; Mrs. Bill McKinnon, Stockton; Reuben Ackerman, Fairmont, Neb.; Mrs. Bonnie Johnson, Sacramento; Mrs. Barbara Sandness, Long Beach; Mrs. Lydia Ickes, Chehalis, Wash.; Mrs. Ruth Ickes, Gerber; and Mrs. Rose Sell, Sutton, Neb. He leaves 28 grandchildren.
Mr. Ackerman was the brother of Mrs. Karl Neuharth, and Mrs. John Schmidt, both of Lodi; John Ackerman, Herrick, S.D.; Fred Ackerman, Fairmont, Neb.; Andrew Ackerman, Mrs. Ricka Nusz nd Mrs. Christine Undersher, all of SUtton, Neb.
