Born and raised in Arkansas. She only went to school through third grade. She along with her parents and neighbors helped William Boles after the death of his first wife. William wrote Cleo a letter asking her to marry him. In 1920 Cleo and William moved by train with their children to Stroud Ok. Later moving to Byars and then Rosedale. William died after having his 2nd stroke. Cleo made money by washing clothes for people in Rosedale. She worked hard raising a garden and taking care of the children. She always had food on the table ready to be ate by guest in her home. She had a great love for God that was evident in her life.
