Carlton, "Junior", Black was born to his parents, John Carl Black & Pearl Gregg Black. During his lifetime, Carlton served with the United States Army; was a tractor-trailer tank driver for Gulf/BP Oil Company, where he was known by the handle "Georgia Crawler" because of how slow and safely he drove his rig. After his retirement from this company, Carlton then continued to work as a parts deliveryman for Bob Richards Chevrolet/Toyota in Augusta, Georgia. Carlton was also a member of Lighthouse Ministry Services (ALMS). He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Polly Cartledge Black, two daughters and four grandchildren.
