Michael E. Jenkins died Nov. 1, 2015. He was born Oct. 15, 1948.

Michael served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam conflict. He worked as a journeyman carpenter and was a pretty darn good person. Michael had a generous heart and a sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew him, including his dog, Sadie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Jenkins, mother Opal Jenkins, sons Michael and Jessie and granddaughter Jenna Jenkins.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Michele Jenkins; son Joseph (Theresa) Jenkins and their children, Lauren, Joseph and Madison Jenkins of California; son Willie Jenkins and grandson Brock Jenkins of Lakeside; son Jonathan (Rae) and grandson Jonathan Jr. of Show Low; daughter Shawna (Mark) and grandchildren Marquee, Seth, Abby and Alex Fortenberry and grandson Zachary Jenkins, all of Buckeye; brother Jay (Carolyn) Jenkins of Show Low; and sister Dodie (Russ) Baird of Queen Creek.
