Herminigildo Aquino, a security guard for 10 years with San Francisco Young Patrol, died at Mt. Diablo Medical Center in Concord. He was 58.
The native of the Philippines lived in San Mateo before moving to Pittsburg 15 years ago. He was a maintenance worker for the Employment Development Department in San Mateo and enjoyed fishing and bingo.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Corazon; daughters, Maria Encarnacion Moore and Rosalie Cruz, both of Antioch and Daisy Aquino of Vallejo; sons, Enrique Aquino of the Philippines and Noberto Aquino of Pittsburg; half-sister, Lourdes Ascencion of the Philippines; brother, Bill Aquino of Pittsburg; and seven grandchildren.
Services: Visitation from 2-8 p.m., with a vigil at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Mass 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Good Shepherd, Pittsburg. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
