My grandpa, S. H. "Steve" Manly, was born to the union of Ross Holmes Manly and Narcissus Leona Dunn, who married in Caldwell Parish on May 11, 1884. He married Isabelle Prince, a daughter of Seaborn Vermillion Prince and Wealthy Maria Taunton, in Caldwell Parish on April 11, 1906.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Nannie Camelia Childers; his brother, Aaron Richard Manly; and his parents.
He was survived by his wife, Isabelle Prince Manly of Columbia; four sons, Leslie Earl "John" Manley, Lester Cody Manly, Wilbur Wright Manly, all of Columbia, and Robert Stephen Manly, of Eureka, CA; one daughter, Jewel Hyacinth Ledbetter of Columbia; one sister, Lavenia Emilia Kirkland of Kelly; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
