Born in Scranton, son of the late John James and Kathryn Cummings Nallin, he graduated from the University of Scranton in 1958. He was a World War II veteran serving with the Army as a tech sergeant in Japan.
Before retirement, he was the electronic development engineer and project manager for Weston Fairchild in Archbald. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael, California; and John Jr., Scranton; stepson, David Dygert, Harrisburg; stepdaughters, Diane Bilyk, Florida; Sue Parembo, Fleetwood; and Cheryl Fill, Massachusetts; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Gerard Nallin; and a stepdaughter, Nancy Mayer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10am from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St. Those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to church. Interment with full military honors will be held in Abington Hills Cemetery.
