Funeral services for William Eddie Baty, 81, Thomasville, will be held Fri. in the Pine Hill Assembly of God Church near Thomasville with the Revs. Ben L. Huddleston and Calvin Jones officiating. Mr. Baty died Tues in West Plains Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug 3, 1899 in Rover, the son of the late Riley and Lily Jane Willard Baty.
He received his education in the Jolliff Schools, and in Sept 1939 he married in Chocktaw County, AL to Lucy Whitted, who preceded him in death April 26, 1973.
Mr. Baty was a member of the Pine Hill Assembly of God church.
Survivors include 2 children, Mrs. Claude (Diane) Barton, Thomasville, MO; Edward Baty, Alton, MO; and 4 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, James Marion Baty, one brother and one sister.
The family will receive friends Friday in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in Jolliff Cemetery.
