Curtis Halvorson, 88, West Fargo, ND died on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Curtis Theodore Halvorson was born Feb. 19, 1927 at Roseglen, ND to Christian and Thea (Wibstad) Halvorson. He grew up there and attended country school. He was drafted into the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict. Curt married Dorothy Carlstrom on Nov. 27, 1954 at Foxhome, MN. They made their home at Kindred, ND where he worked at Kindred Implement. They later moved to West Fargo. Curt worked at Cummings Diesel in Fargo for 35 years. The last few years, Curt and Dorothy have lived at Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo.

Curt loved playing guitar and singing in the Curdell's Band along with building and fixing race cars. He was a life member of the West Fargo VFW and enjoyed hunting and motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughter-in-law, KathiHalvorson, West Fargo; and many nieces and nephews. Curt was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Harold, Lewis, Lloyd, Lawrence, Lillian, Adeline and Eleanor; and a son, Gary.

Visitation: Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 from 6 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Sheyenne Crossings Chapel, West Fargo.

Funeral: Friday at 2 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
