George served in the Army and Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed John Wayne movies and Peanuts Gang and really enjoyed his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. After his military career, he was employed as a security guard.
He married Charlotte Burns who preceded him in death. George is survived by his children; Deidra (Eddie) Oliver, Betty J. Duffey and Clyde E. Duffey, his sister Betty Schoolcraft, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and his special pal "Taco." He later married Lynn Davidson who also preceded him in death.
Several brothers, sisters and special brother-in-law Earl Sayres also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Nov. 12) at 2:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery with full military honors.
