Wilma Frances Knapp, 96, Fairbury, died at 8:30 am Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Mrs. Knapp was born May 24, 1919 in Forrest, IL, the daughter of Samuel and Lena Swing Nussbaum. She married Norval Knapp on September 16, 1944 in Pontiac, IL. He died on September 20, 2004.

Survivors include 2 daughters, MaryEtta (Dan) Mullen and Marjorie Yoder, both of Fairbury, 5 sons, Charles (Paula) Knapp, Bloomington, Dale (Barbara) Knapp, Seneca, Harlan (Jean) Knapp, Chenoa, Arthur (Valerie) Knapp, Pontiac, Alvin (Suzanne) Knapp, Fairbury, 32 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Marjorie Stephens, Fairbury and 1 brother, Nelson (Billie) Nussbaum, Forrest.

She is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard and Maurice Nussbaum.

Mrs. Knapp was a homemaker and had been employed as a secretary by Honegger Feed Co., Forrest. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest.
