Mrs. Linda Witte, 85, formerly of Sheboygan, died Thursday at Rocky Knoll where she had been a patient since March 1973.
The former Linda Winkel was born March 8, 1891 in the Town of Herman, a daughter of Fred and Emilie Feldt Winkel.
On Nov 23, 1912, she was married to William H. Witte at Zion Lutheran church, Louis Corners.
The couple farmed in the Town of Schleswig following their marriage, moving to Sheboygan in 1946. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1962.
Mr Witte died Oct 14, 1970.
After the death of her husband, Mrs Witte lived with a daughter and son-in-law, Mr & Mrs Watler Hermann, Plymouth, before being admitted to Rocky Knoll.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Plymouth.
Survivors included a son, Leslie, Sheboygan Falls,, a daughter, Mrs. Walter ( Mildred) Hermann, Plymouth, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs Hattie Salzmann, Louis Corners, and Mrs Ray Beckmann and Mrs Walter Klemme, both of Kiel.
A sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral service on Sunday, at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Rev Robert Wudy, senior pastor of St John Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park
