ROSE M. NETHING
(1917 - 2011)

On May 28, 1917, God sent down one of his special angels by the name of Rose M. Nething. God called Rose home on February 22, 2011, after serving others for 93 years. Rose was surrounded by her loving nieces, Dawn, Mary, and Linda at the time of her passing. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at the Reinbold and Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Aitken will officiate with burial at Kossuth #1 Cemetery in the town of Kossuth. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m.

Rose lived in Manitowoc her entire life, residing at 2118 Herman Road. She is the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Moss) Nething. Rose was lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was employed as a welder at Manitowoc Shipyards during World War II and later was employed as a caretaker for many children. She also cleaned for a special friend, Irene, for many years.

A woman with a fiery passion and varied interests throughout the years, Rose was a master of the art of homemaking. Her kolaches, raised doughnuts, and homemade bread were awesome. Rose was deeply devoted to her family through thick and thin. She loved playing 500 rummy, going to the casino on her birthday, her pets, and collecting new recipes for her Christmas goodies. Although Rose will be sadly missed by all who knew her, our memories of her will bring joy to our hearts and a smile to our faces.

Rose was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Survivors include: her precious, Prancer, who was entrusted to her dear great nephew, Matthew, to care for until they met again. Other survivors include a loving daughter: Rosemary Dillon of Manitowoc and her special friend Wayne Ruelle; five beautiful grandchildren: Patti (Jeff) Palubicki; Penny (Brian) Hutchison; Rosie (Scott) Loucks; Allen (Becky) Dillon; Tammy (Chris) Wellner; fourteen wonderful great grandchildren: Bradley (Amanda) Carbon; John Carbon; Brianna Belland; Amber Hutchison and her special friend, Erik Turner; Jeffery Kozaczuk and his fiancee Kendra Mabrey; Keith Kozaczuk and his fiancée Marie Avery; Brandy Dillon; Taylor Dillon; Brandon Dillon; Noah Dillon; Delcey Wright; Dakota Wellner; Jasmine Wellner; four precious great great grandchildren: Madysson Carbon; Brayden Carbon; Parker Turner; Malaina Kozaczuk; and one great great grandson on the way. Nieces and nephews include: Mary, Kim, Dawn, Karen, Randy, Paul, Scott, Linda and Renee. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; two sisters; one nephew; and one great granddaughter: Amber Palubicki.

Online condolences may be sent to www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com.

Special thanks to Dr. Ron Ziolkowski, Dr. Christopher Meyer, and a very special family: Beverly, Bill and Dale Atkins. As Rose’s nieces and nephews, we would like to give a special thanks to our sister, Dawn and Dawn’s son, William for the many years of devoted, loving, and compassionate care you gave to auntie. Dawn, you were auntie’s angel on earth and be assured that auntie is now at peace in the loving arms of Jesus. To William, our dear nephew: You were born and came into auntie’s life at a much needed time. We thank you for taking auntie on her trip to Mayo. You have always loved her and always will. And also to her sister-in-law, Margaret Nething, for all her compassion and love shown to Rose throughout the years.

P.S. God bless we have no bills in Heaven.!!!!
