(1920 - 2015)

Gladys Maresh, age 94, formerly of Francis Creek and a resident for the past 7 ½ years of the Cozy Corner Unit at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Health Center.

Gladys was born on July 11, 1920 in the town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Joseph and Christine (Heran) Worel. She attended the Elm View Elementary School in the town of Kossuth. On September 22, 1943, she was married to Walter H. Maresh in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1988. The couple farmed the Maresh homestead farm at Francis Creek and Gladys also worked at Mirro Company in Manitowoc for 15 years. She was a member of WFLA Lodge No. 20 of Melnik.

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald (Margaret “Marge” ) Maresh, Francis Creek, Tom (Susie) Maresh, Francis Creek; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; Carrie (Dan) Sievert and their children, Alex, Katie Ann and rose Sievert, Bonduel; Christy (Patrick) Flynn and their daughters, Faith, Trinity, Callista and Felicity Flynn of Green Bay; David Maresh and his fiancé, Michelle Budzban, Whitelaw; Jeff (Amanda) Maresh and their children, Lauren, Luke, Oscar, Estelle Maresh, Denmark; Becky (Jeff) Wetzel and their children, Kai and Ciara Wetzel, Muskego; Nate Maresh, Claresville, TN.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Christine Worel; her husband, Walter H. Maresh; one brother, Lumar Worel; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Agnes Worel, Marcella (Theodore) Skwor, Adeline (Henry) Loch, Olive (Alvin) Boettcher.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main St. Kellnersville. Rev. Daniel Cole will officiate with burial to follow at Kossuth No. 1, Cemetery, Francis Creek. Relative and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Cozy Corner Unit of the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center for all the special care and compassion given to Gladys over the years.
