Leonard Reno, age 78, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday evening, August 19, 1999, at River’s Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 23, 1999, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Alan Sunn with burial to follow at Kossuth National Cemetery.

He was born September 20, 1920, in Kewaunee County, son of the late William and Mabel Brown Reno. Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II from 1942 to 1946 in the Amphibian Tank Battalion. On June 19, 1946, he married the former Lorraine Ouradnik at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Leonard was employed at Pauly Cheese Company in Green Bay until 1954, and then was employed at Weyerhauser until his retirement in 1978. Mr. Reno was a member of the DAV, AARP and the Senior.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Reno, Manitowoc; three sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy and Mary Reno, Leon and Kathleen Reno, Leland Reno, all of Manitowoc; three daughters and sons-in-law, Loralee and George Engelhardt, Colorado Springs, Linda and Dave Groelle, Manitowoc, Luanne and Brian Konsela, Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren, Mitch, Eric, Jodie, Brandon, Alex, Mike, Chris, Cory, Nicole, Josh, and Heidi; one sister-in-law, Gladys Reno, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Willard Reno; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Suzetta and Frank Lane, Kathleen and Adolph Hrudka, Elizabeth and Walter Maurer, Laura and John Diegel, Marie Balhaska, and Florence Reno.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
