Donald Day Lambert
NOKESVILLE, Va. — Donald Day Lambert, age 88 of Nokesville, VA, formerly of Richlands, passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 24, 2015.
He was born on March 14, 1927 in Giles County, VA son of the late Lula Day and Robert Lee Lambert. Donald was a teacher and coach at Richlands High School from 1955-1965 when he re-located to Brentsville High School from 1965 until 1988. He left such a lasting impression upon his students and their families that the Brentsville High School football field was named after him upon his retirement.
Survivors include his loving wife Elyse Blankenship Lambert; his children and their spouses Donna Johnson and husband Joe and Stephen Lambert and wife Julie and by 3 grandchildren Thomas, Sierra and Samantha Lambert.
A graveside was held at Clinch Valley Cemetery, 3201 West Front Street, Richlands, VA on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
