Margaret Espenschied Stewart passed away September 17, 2003 - peaceful, positive and content with "a good, long life."
Born to August and Anna Gronau Espenschied, January 13, 1911. Married Alexander M. Stewart, February 1, 1936.
Long-time employee of Auerbach's Department Store, dedicated wife, mother, neighbor and friend.
Margaret will be remembered for her kindness, graciousness, her loving nature, her pride in her house, home, gardens and neighborhood; for her independence and her optimism, sense of humor and positive attitude - along with a winning smile.
She will also be remembered by her family with gratitude for her many personal sacrifices for the well-being of her family and especially for the unwavering, selfless, dedicated care she gave to her husband Alex before his death.
Margaret was a life-long member of the LDS Church, especially active in her earlier years as a teacher in Sunday School and Primary.
Survived by sons, Michael A. Stewart of Santa Clara, California, and Robert B. Stewart of Salt Lake City. The eldest of seven, she is survived also by her sister; Evelyn Haydon (James) of King City, Oregon; brother Bryan Espenschied (LaNore) of Centerville, Utah; nieces, nephews and cousins. Also survived by Jan Brown, a loyal, trusted, long-time friend and neighbor; by Helen Carney, a special good friend and confidant; and by MaryAnne Lingwall, a dedicated, thoughtful friend and frequent companion.
