LaVeda A. Ball, 88, St. Joseph, MO., died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at a local healthcare facility.
She was born August 22, 1923, to Jess Lee and Sadie (Guyer) Scroggins in Forbes, Mo.
She married Darrell William Ball and he preceded her in death in 1976.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters Lila Blakely and Velma Williams; and brothers, Dale, Jesse, Keith, Leonard, Connard, Lawrence, Ivan and Whitie Scroggins.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Swope, and Linda (Ron) Barbosa, both of St. Joseph; a son, Lee Ball, Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at Meierhoffer Family Funeral Home & Crematory with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mo.
