Passed away peacefully in the presence of her children and grandchildren after a brief illness. Lucy was born in 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa. Her family moved to Janesville Wisconsin when she was a child. Lucy married in 1942. They divorced in 1969. Lucy relocated to Madison later in 1969 where she lived until 2001, then moved to Cambridge, Wisconsin.
Lucy was a wonderful, intelligent, friendly, and creative woman. She was a loving mother, kind, generous, and caring. She loved God, was a woman of faith, and a prayer warrior. Lucy was a long-time member of Asbury UMW church in Madison, and later a faithful member of Willerup United Methodist church. While raising her children, she returned to school to complete her college degree. Lucy attended UW-Rock County, earned her undergraduate degree from UW-Madison, and earned her Master’s degree in Library Science at UW-Milwaukee. She worked as a librarian until her retirement in 1990.
