Samuel Stafford was born in Medina county, Ohio, May 1, 1835, and moved to Steuben county, Indiana, in 1854. Dec. 20, 1865, he married Sarah E. Trowbridge. Mr. Stafford died at his home in Scott township Jan. 21st, 1899, at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 21 days. He leaves a wife, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss. Funeral service held at the South Scott Christian church Sunday afternoon Jan.22, Elder C.S. Medbury officiating. The very large attendance of neighbors and friends bore strong testimony to the integrity and worth of the life of the deceased.
